FEDERAL COLLEGE OF EDUCATION TECHNICAL, EKIADOLOR WRAPS UP STUDENTS' WEEK CELEBRATION
The Students' Union Government (SUG) of Federal College of Education (Technical), Ekiadolor, recently concluded a week-long celebration that showcased the students' creativity, talent, and unity. The event, which took place from 15th to 19th September 2025, was organised under the guidance of the Students Affairs Department, led by Dr. Jimoh Kadiri, Dean of Students Affairs.
The celebration kicked off with an awareness and sensitisation program, where students shared important messages and raised awareness on various issues. The second day was themed "Old School Day/Custom Day," where students dressed in their favourite retro outfits, bringing a blast from the past to the campus.
The cultural segment was a highlight of the week, featuring vibrant displays and captivating dance performances by students from the Benin, Igbo, and Yoruba tribes. The event was attended by guests, college staff, and well-wishers, who were impressed by the students' talent and unity.
The award presentation ceremony was a special moment, with the Provost, Dr. Emmanuel Asagha, represented by the College Librarian, Dr. Tony Obaseki, who received the award on his behalf. Community leaders from Ekiadolor also received awards for their contributions.
The symposium on the fourth day provided a platform for students to engage in thought-provoking discussions and share knowledge on important topics.
The week concluded with a thrilling sports day, featuring a mini tournament among the different schools, including the School of General Education, School of Vocational Education, School of Secondary Technical Education, and School of Secondary Science Education.
The SUG and the Students Affairs Department deserve commendation for organising such a successful event, which promoted unity, creativity, and talent among the students. The event was a resounding success, and we look forward to more exciting activities in the future.
